The Proper Ways to Select Steam Solenoid Valve
A solenoid valve is a kind of automated basic component that is used to control the direction of the fluid. It is a kind of actuator and is usually used for mechanical control and industrial valve. It controls the direction of the medium so as to control the opening and closing of sanitary valves.
There’s an airtight chamber inside each solenoid valve. There are holes in different locations. Each hole leads to a different tube. In the middle of the chamber is the valve. On both sides are two electromagnets.
The valve body will be moved to the side where the magnet coil is electrified. By controlling the movement of the valve body, different holes are blocked or leaked out. And the oil inlet hole is always open, so the hydraulic oil will enter different drainage pipes.
Then, the piston of the cylinder is moved through the pressure of the oil. Piston then moves the piston stem, which moves the mechanical devices. This way, the mechanical movement is controlled by the switching of the electric current of the electromagnet.
Currently used steam solenoid valves usually have the following two kinds of steam:
1. Boiler steam
The temperature and pressure of saturated steam are relatively stable. The temperature is lower than 250 degrees Celsius. The working pressure is lower than 1.6MPa.
Structural features:
Heat-resistant: Special high-temperature-resistant electrical materials and sealing materials are used for electromagnetic parts and sealing parts.
Wear-resistant: The selection is reasonable, the valve cup and guide sleeve cleverly employ the lubrication of the fluid to reduce the wear and improve the service life.
Condensation-resistant: The condensate of the steam pipe is an important factor affecting the action of the steam solenoid valve.
Solenoid valves can be widely used in textile, printing, chemical, plastics, rubber, pharmaceutical, food, building materials, machinery, electrical appliances, surface treatment and scientific research departments and bathroom, canteens, air conditioning, and other automatic control systems.
2. The steam out of the thermal power plant
The temperature can be up to 400 degrees Celsius. The working pressure is lower than 4.0MPa.
Structural features: The use of metal hard sealing improves the operating temperature and service life of the product.
This kind of product can be used in water, light oil, heavy oil, non-corrosive gases, steam, and other fluids. For example, in the power station piping drainage system and the evaporator exhaust system, double-bit automatic adjustment and remote control for the medium in the pipeline are performed.
