The flat plate gate valve is a kind of single gate plate valve or double gate plate valve with a distraction mechanism. In order to increase the sealing capacity of gate valve in a low-pressure situation, to solve the leakage problem of gate valve under low pressure while reducing the friction between the gate plate and the sealing ring of the valve seat in addition to improving the service life of gate valve, the sealing of the gate valve is designed to be steel ball-topped mechanical expansion and contraction sealing mechanism.
When the gate valve is closed, the steel ball-topped mechanism props open the two gate plates, presses tight the sealing surface, which produces sealing pressure, achieving the effect of double-sided forced sealing. When the gate valve is open, the steel ball-topped mechanism contracts and the gate plate leaves the sealing surface by moving inward, which reduces the friction between the gate plate and the sealing ring of the valve seat during the process of opening and closing.
The magnetic gate valve opening indicator displays the opening of the gate valve by using the magnet on the gate plate to move the pointer of the magnetic induction meter installed outside the gate valve.
In the case of different openings in the valve, there’re different distances and directions between the magnet installed on the gate plate and the indicating meter, which has induction of different intensity and direction on the magnetic induction pointer of the indicating meter. According to this, the pointer can indicate the different openings of the valve.
