Pneumatic Ball Valve Common Faults
Symptom 1: Sanitary Pneumatic ball valve unable to operate
Checking items:
1. Check the status of the solenoid: whether the coil is burned or the solenoid valve core gets stuck.
2. Perform a separate air supply test on the pneumatic actuator to check that the seal and cylinder are damaged.
3. Check if there is any foreign matter in the valve to block the valve plug.
4. Handle manual mechanism in manual position.
The corresponding solutions:
1. Replace the solenoid valve and the coil, remove dirt.
2. Replace damaged seal ring and cylinder.
3. Remove impurities and replace damaged parts.
4. Turn the handle to a pneumatic position
Symptom 2: Pneumatic ball valve slow operation
Checking items:
1. Insufficient air pressure
2. Pneumatic actuator output torque is too small.
3. Valve spool or other valve assembly is too tight.
4. The gas pipeline is blocked and the flow is too small.
The corresponding solutions:
1. Increase air pressure by 4-7 bar.
2. Increase the size of the pneumatic actuator.
3. Reassemble and adjust.
4. Eliminate clogging and replace the filter cartridge.
Symptom 3: No signal back to the receiver
Checking items:
1. Check if the power line is short or open.
2. Check if the position of the cam in the receiver is not accurate.
3. Check if the microswitch is damaged
The corresponding solutions:
1. Overhaul the power line.
2. Adjust the cam to the correct position.
3. Replace the microswitch.
